Travelling to Borneo:

Visa: When you first arrive in West Malaysia (most flights arrive there first) you will be granted a 3 month visa. In East Malaysia you get a different visa and this is only for 2 months. If you wish to extend this is often possible just by asking very nicely and paying around 100 rinngit at the immigration dept but you must do this before your original visa expires.

Electrical: Borneo uses the UK "G" plug, at 240 volts
Currency: Rinngit, approx 3.5 rinngit to the US dollar, 6.5 to the UK pound
